Træholt Oak Dining Table

The table the workshop began with. A 4 cm top of air-dried Danish oak, its boards matched so the grain runs the length of the table, on a wooden trestle base joined by a stretcher you can rest your feet on.

It is 90 cm wide in every length: 180 cm seats six, 200 cm seats eight and 220 cm seats ten. We oil it by hand in three coats, which leaves the oak warm to the touch and easy to renew with a cloth and a little oil once a year.

These three lengths are made ahead and ready to leave the workshop within five working days. For another length or width, or a walnut or ash version, design your own.
